Hydrographic surveyors map the sea floor, shipping
channels, waterways, ports and locate currents, shore lines and
other marine features. They are usually associated with marine
authorities.
When the Sydney Harbour Tunnel was designed and
built, surveyors were involved in almost every stage of planning,
development and construction.
